Bridge works on Gulf Developmental Road completed ahead of schedule
Gulf Developmental Road bridge works have been wrapped up ahead of schedule, ensuring smoother journeys for drivers in the region.
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has completed bridge works on the Gulf Developmental Road between Mt. Surprise and Georgetown ahead of schedule.
The bridge resurfacing works on five single lane bridges were carried out at night to reduce the impact on road users. The works started on the Tuesday 7 May and were completed last Friday 17 May, two weeks ahead of schedule.
TMR thanks communities, Emergency Services, tourism operators, business, and road users on Gulf Developmental Road for their patience while the important works were carried out.
