Croydon Shire Council is seeking a motivated and team-oriented individual to oversee the operation and maintenance of the Croydon Water Treatment Plant and associated infrastructure. This position also involves providing hands-on leadership to the town maintenance team, ensuring efficient delivery of services across water treatment, town infrastructure, and heritage-aligned maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support trades staff, gardeners, and labourers in town maintenance activities.
- Maintain Council’s buildings, open spaces, and town infrastructure in line with heritage values.
- Operate and maintain the water supply system to ensure a safe and reliable supply.
- Monitor contractor performance and asset management within the township.
- Plan weekly work programs and ensure adherence to budgets and reporting requirements.
- Assist with airport functions and participate in the on-call roster.

Croydon Shire Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic / Diesel Fitter to join our team full-time. This critical role ensures the maintenance and efficiency of Council’s plant, equipment, and fleet while providing leadership and mentoring to our apprentice.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain and service diesel and petrol engines, small engines, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform fieldwork and workshop repairs, including welding and air conditioning maintenance.
- Supervise and mentor apprentice staff while ensuring a safe work environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- A relevant Trade Certificate with a minimum of 3 years’ trade experience.
- Expertise in all aspects of vehicle and plant servicing, parts sourcing, and clerical procedures.
- Experience in training or supervising apprentices.

Croydon Shire Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Tourism Officer to help promote and develop the region's tourism industry.
Reporting to the Manager of Tourism and Marketing, this casual position supports Council’s direction to maximise the tourism potential of Croydon Shire. The role involves promoting the True Blue Visitor Information Centre and Heritage Precinct in a professional and efficient manner while presenting a positive image of both Council and Croydon. Additionally, the Tourism Officer will promote the Croydon Shire region and local businesses to visitors and residents through the provision of accurate and comprehensive information.

Croydon Shire Council is seeking a motivated Pool and Gym Attendant to enhance the quality of life for our residents through outstanding sport and recreation services. This role, reporting to the Community Services Manager, focuses on maintaining and supervising the Croydon Swimming Pool and Gym while promoting safe and inclusive usage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and maintain pool and gym facilities to a high standard.
- Encourage community participation in sport and recreation activities.
- Uphold safety protocols and deliver an engaging, healthy environment.
Requirements:
- Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
- Pool Lifeguard qualification (or ability to obtain).
- Current First Aid & CPR with anaphylaxis and asthma training.
- Valid manual C-class driver’s licence.
- Proven ability to evaluate programs and enhance services over time.
Desirable:
- Certificate III in Fitness (or equivalent).
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Capability to work independently and balance diverse tasks.

Croydon Shire Council is seeking the services of an Early Childhood Teacher to work with the Croydon Childcare Centre.
The Early Childhood Teacher will need to work with the service for at least 20 percent of the time that the service provides education and care, this calculates to 8.5 hours per week. Under the Education and Care Services National Regulations the Early Childhood Teacher may be working with the service by means of information communication technology which may be calculated on a quarterly basis. The service is licensed for 21 approved places.
