  • Croydon Shire Council is seeking an enthusiastic individual for a 12-month parental leave cover position as the Library and Community Engagement Officer.

    Council is open to considering varied employment options during this period including Full/Part Time, Casual or job share arrangements and will provide in house training in library software to support the position.


    If you have a cheerful disposition, positive can-do attitude, excellent customer service and communication skills, good time management and computer skills and don’t mind the odd splash of paint, craft glue or participating in activities with the community members of Croydon and beyond, then this job just may be for you.

    Reporting to the Manager Community Services this position supports Council to provide high quality library services through a community development approach to learning, literacy and creative programs to the residents of Croydon Shire and visitors to the community

  • Croydon Shire Council invites applications for the permanent HR Officer position to support supports Council’s Human Resources functions, including end-to-end recruitment and HR administration. The successful candidate will provide leadership, direction, support and deliver efficient, effective, compliant and confidential support to the Business Services team to ensure Croydon Shire Council meets its statutory obligations in a timely manner. This position will report to the Business Services Manager.

  • Croydon Shire Council invites applications are invited for the position of Swimming Pool Attendant for the Croydon swimming pool. This casual or part time osition may be a job share arrangement to suit the needs of Council and the opening hours of the facility which includes weekends.
    The person must be motivated and enthusiastic, have excellent customer service and communication skills. This position will be responsible for the high standard of supervision of the facility, efficient and effective day to day operations, provision of community activities, cleaning of amenities, storage areas, pool and pool surrounds, grounds and water testing.

    Mandatory qualifications include:

    • Pool Life Guard Certificate
    • Current First Aid and CPR
    • Current Working with Children Blue Card

  • Croydon Shire Council is seeking the services of an Early Childhood Teacher to work with the Croydon Childcare Centre. 

    The Early Childhood Teacher will need to work with the service for at least 20 percent of the time that the service provides education and care, this calculates to 8.5 hours per week. Under the Education and Care Services National Regulations the Early Childhood Teacher may be working with the service by means of information communication technology which may be calculated on a quarterly basis. The service is licensed for 21 approved places.
