Australia Day Awards 2025
On 26 January 2025, Australians all around the country will celebrate what’s great about Australia.
Help us celebrate what’s great about our community by nominating someone you know for an Australia Day Award. The Croydon Shire Council Australia Day Awards will recognise members of our community who have made an outstanding contribution to the community and for exceptional achievement in 2024.
There are six award categories:
* Citizen of the Year
Nominees must be 26 years of age or older on 26 January 2025.
* Young Citizen of the Year
Nominees must be aged between 16-25 years of age on 26 January 2025.
* Senior Sports Person
* Junior Sports Person
* Volunteer of the Year
Nominations must be for achievements and contributions outside of paid employment.
* Community Event of the Year
Events must have been held in the Croydon Shire during the 2024 calendar year.
All nominees must be a resident of Croydon Shire at the time of nomination.
